“One day, everything felt too much. I felt like I was falling out of love with the profession. I really wanted to take a break and just pick up the odd shift now and again. I didn’t feel I could at my previous company.”
Now, Tailorre works as an account manager at Staffscanner, she supports carers and clients using her years of experience in healthcare. - Pick up the odd shift: "If you have never worked in agency or for a company like Staffscanner the pay is better, period. This means you do not need to work as much, just pick up the odd shift now and then and pace yourself. That way you won't be overloaded like I was."
- Take a break: "It’s okay to say no or to take a little break. Setting limits protects you from getting too overwhelmed and if you come back to care you know your heart is still in it."
