A note from our Managing Director

Reza Najafian is no stranger to the care industry. He opened a care service in Glasgow in 2013 and its main issue was finding reliable, good quality healthcare professionals. This gave him the idea of starting Staffscanner.

“Like every care service, we relied on agencies to provide staff. Not only were these agencies hugely expensive, but in my view, they lacked accountability. They were sending the first person who said yes to a shift, rather than the right person for the job.

I knew there had to be a better way. Our app turns this model on its head. Care providers can post shifts, outlining the type of skills and experience they need. We charge care homes considerably less than traditional agencies, so the carers and nurses get a better rate.

The most important thing of all is that care services get the right person for the job, improve the quality of care and don’t waste money in the process.”

What people say about Staffscanner

Fantastic
Only been with Staffscanner for a short time but they are fantastic. Helpful, approachable and always cheery on the phone. I’m getting my 3 weekly shifts with no problem!
Excellent Company
Excellent company to work for. You pick up shifts that suit you. The staff are always supportive and helpful. The agency doesn’t push you to do shifts as others do. I’m pleased that I joined Staffscanner as I feel valued.
Staff Are Great
I have been working with this company for over 3 months now and what a fantastic agency to work for. Nothing is a problem for them when you need help, the staff are great! I would recommend them to all health care workers.

Reza Najafian

Founder & Director

Reza owns his own care service since 2013 and has served as an Executive Director of Scottish Care since 2016, He understands the challenges and issues faced by care providers. It has become evident that the use of agency staff has become a necessity, but the high margins charged for agency staff impose a significant financial burden on care providers. These challenges, coupled with Reza’s first-hand experience and his determination to help care providers deliver the continuity of care that residents deserve, led him to develop Staffscanner.
